Foreign Languages and Singing

In the past, I would have never thought I would sing in German in Texas. I learned the song last year.. Years ago, I sang folk songs in quite a few European languages including German but I thought it was all a past matter. In the Hill Country, due to history of the land, German is in use again.

Pictures from our September walks in the area.

Nativity Scenes

Christmas is different this year. No usual Christmas events. That is why I came back to the photos taken last year. The display of nativity Scenes took place in a local church in December 2019.

My Lockdown Song

This is my version of the song "Ja, mein(e) Liebe Tochter". Related to walking and being alone. Nobody really wants the latter, not for a long time at least. Well, 2020 has been a weird yera, it even has made me sing solo in public. I have not done it since I was 15 but then, it was totally different - I sang at the all school gathering with the music teacher's piano accompaniment + the school choir support.

The pictures from our walk on 1 September 2020.

The song

Mom, may I go for a walk?

Yes, my beloved/dear daughter.

Mom, may I romance?

Yes, my beloved/dear daughter.

Mom, mom of mine, nobody wants to be all alone.

Mom, may I go for a walk?

Yes, my beloved daughter.

Squirrel & Other Critters

During our walks we met not only deer. However, they appeared most often. We also happened to have quite a lot of other companions.

Cave Creek Again

It has become cold, the winter weather came quite early. On chilly days it is nice to recall our summertime walks. Here in another slideshow from August.

In some previous posts I included slideshows made with the PhotoPeach online tools. Sadly, the service is going to be suspended/closed in January 2021, and those slides won't be available anymore.
