Banana-and-Pecan Bread

It's been a long time since  I made banana bread from scratch. We got some bananas and here it is.

Ingredients:

8 TBsp butter,
3 bananas - mashed,
some pecans,
two eggs,
1 cup sugar,
1 1/2 cup flour,
1/2 tsp salt,
baking soda.

Fresh from the oven - it was two fresh and crumbled a bit. It was tasty, though!

On the next day, it got firmer and it was easier to cut a piece.

2. Music in the park by Austin Polka Band. We danced too. :-)

Drawing at The Museum

Today I start a new post series in which I will present the sketches created by my husband quite a few years ago when he did some drawing at the local art museum. The pictures he drew are not only in pencil, but there are also colored ones as well.

Gillespie County Farm Fair

Last weekend we enjoyed 131st (but our first) Gillespie County Fair. That was fun!

In the morning we enjoyed the fair parade.

Later, we went to the fairgrounds - it was a great day!

We took over 350 photos on the fair day. The above ones are some of them.

The Story of Spokes

To prevent from being lost and forgotten.

When in his teens, my husband enjoyed drawing. He drew a lot but all his works are gone with the wind. Here are the only pictures which survived till today.

Quite an artist he was!

Together with his high school mates, Ron also created stories for the funnies which were printed in the high school magazine. It is a pity that we have had only two examples of their creativity (which are included below).

Maybe someone still has a copy of a school magazine with the funnies made by the boys.

May Baseball Game

21 May 2019

The game: very good seats! Players are throwing and catching the ball, I know more or less (or less than more) what is going on, jolly music is played every now and then, people are buying foods and drinks, lots of peanut shells everywhere = fun and enjoyable night. Plus - Texas Rangers won!
