Happy New Year
Those guys came to us from Japan last October - a gift from Friends. The two ones were too cute to eat them so they lasted for quite a while. The cookies are gone, though.
Happy New Year! May it be Bobo good and peaceful.

Progresso Soups
We have tried quite a few soup brands and we finally decided the soups made by Progresso are the best. They taste like home made, which gives us a quick and rather inexpensive emergency-type meal. The soups by Progresso does not need extra fixing, but I still season them a bit, in my way.
We still haven't tasted all the soup kinds they make, we still have our favorite ones, though. The lentils soup is especially good when served with fresh corn bread.

Rudi
He came to Texas from Chicago. It was a gift from a granddaughter to her ailing grandpa.
Years later, we saw the bear for a very first time when a lady (grandpa's wife) brought Rudi for our church game. The bear was to be one of the bingo prizes and its name was different then.
We very much wanted to win him but another lady (of German descent) did, and took the guy home. We believed he was gone and we would never see him again.
Later, the lady who originally owned Rudi found out, the bingo winner had knitted him a costume and put the bear on sale at the Lutheran Fall Festival. Nobody bought him there so its original owner, grandpa's wife, got it back and brought to us. We named the bear Rudi and gave him the red hat to complete his German-like outfit. He is a great hugger and home Bobo protector.

It appeared our Rudi wanted to come to us and be part of our family. Yey!

New Guy
A New Guy in the family. No, it's not our bike. Harley has been history already.
It seems, I missed posting a note about that Harley, the predecessor.

Polish Fruit Cake
I am not sure whether I have tried that particular recipe before. Polish fruitcake is nothing like the Texas dessert which includes the same "fruitcake" name. It is simply a sort of coffee cake with lots of raisins, nuts, and fruits.

April Walks
What you cannot see/hear in the pictures: butterflies flying around, tiny lizards appearing here and there, birds chirping, crickets playing their music, and the refreshing feel of the wind on our bodies.
Walk #1
Actually, it was more of a drive than a walk.
