Every day try to enjoy and find beauty in simple things. Nice music - no matter if it is a song by a bird sitting somewhere outside or a song on the radio, things you do or manage to complete, food you are given. Every day is a chance for something new to be done or achieved, and it doesn't have to be a big thing at all. However, all little things are big - if you can only notice and appreciate them.

Visitors and Black Eyed Peas

These two guys popped into our kitchen around Christmastime and are going to stay there till it ends.

The ones below are staying with us for good. They have found their spot not exactly in the kitchen though.

It's the time of the year when many people are making resolutions - most of which are going to be forgotten pretty soon. Isn't it better to try to do your best each and every year of the new year? If something doesn't work, do not give up, you can try again another time.

When you can find it all in your Home you are really lucky but so many times people are not aware what they have, how fortunate they are, till they lose it - love, support and togetherness. Hopefully, you are not one of all the Scroodges focused on material sides of life only. Well, if you are, there is still a chance for you :) - if you wake up this Christmastime or any time and see what really important is...

Pecan Pie and Simple Truth

It works if you believe it

First pecan pie try

My first try with light corn syrup and - good results. :)

 

Ingredients:

• sugar - 1/2 cup
• butter - 1/4 cup
• light corn syrup - 1 cup
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• eggs - 3
• pecans 1 - to 1 1/2 cups
• pie crust

Baked at 350 F for about 45 minutes
