Greener grass and cookies

Some people are  feeling most often unhappy or at least not content. The only thing that makes themselves feel better is when they learn someone else is possibly unlucky or unhappy too.
It's commonly known that negative attitude creates negative circumstances. So they will always be unhappy and bitter, no matter where they go, unless they change the way they see the world and other people.
'There is much beauty in the world if you just have the eyes to see it.'  Get rid of envious thoughts then. Celebrate and enjoy every day of your life.

Go for a walk or take a ride and try to notice the beauty of nature - look at the trees, grass, flowers, hear the birds, the sound of  a water stream .....

Listen to music, try to dance....

You can also go to your kitchen and make some cookies........

......share them with your neighbors, friends or co-workers. Bless other people instead of  being envious or critical.

It is not true that the grass is greener somewhere else. It is you who make it green or yellow and dry.

Maybe some of you have also watched 'The Rising of The Moon' by John Ford. Quite an interesting compilation of three very different stories. Part 2 - "One Minute Stop" was quite funny, the third part was the most serious though. All worth watching if you haven't seen it yet. Anyway,  I enjoyed listening to the Irish accent too.


A new Duckie joined our Duck Dynasty. Although he is wearing a red jacket, he has very much to do with St. Patrick's Day. Still not known whether he can swim. :)

As far as I know, cherry cheese cobbler is not a traditional Irish treat but we enjoyed it anyway :)

Pancakes & Duck Dynasty

Last Saturday some guys (including women of course!) celebrated International Women's Day and some International Pancakes Day. Maybe some, both but I guess, the ones who knew about the first one, didn't know about the latter one, and the opposite. It was all on 8th March of course. :)

Many people have heard about The Duck Dynasty - well, I do not know much about them - maybe because we have our own Duck Dynasty and all the guys are our favourites! Even though only two of them can swim. :)

Good cookies are a good snack - when you are hungry and as a dessert too. So when you plan some outing or a picnic, prepare yourself and make some cookies a day before. 

Molasses cookies

I've tried a new molasses cookies recipe - yes, they are tasty! I only added a bit different spices mix. Besides, I tried an option of oat meal cookies - with less oat meal. With good/tasty results. Quite funny that the recipe for oat meal cookies is not known in every part of the world - well, at least not very popular. Maybe because one of the ingredients is brown sugar, not used or hardly ever used in kitchens of many coutries. Anyway, the recipe is worth spreading indeed.

There was a really good weather on the Irish Festival day.  The cookies were good and useful but it was the companionship that made the day!
